So, you want to finally showcase your business on LinkedIn? Maybe start engaging with your audience and employees by sharing content there? Great! It’s super easy to get started.

Keep reading to go through the 5 super-quick steps it takes to create your LinkedIn page for your business or brand!

Before we dive in, if you came to this post by Googling “how to create a LinkedIn company page” and just want to know that part, the TL:DR version is: Go to the Work icon in the upper right hand corner on the desktop version of LinkedIn. At the bottom, you’ll see ‘Create a Company Page +’.

Step 1: Create a Business Page

In drop-down, Work —> Create a Company Page

Step 2: Choose Your Page Type

After that, you’ll choose your page type, based on the size or type of your business or brand.

  • Small business: Fewer than 200 employees

  • Medium to Larger business: More than 200 employees

  • Showcase page: Sub-pages associated with an existing page (This is a sub-page underneath a business page you already have. For example, this could be a brand, product, initiative, or community that you want to highlight without creating an unassociated business.)

  • Educational institution: Schools and universities

Step 3: Fill out the Page Identity section

Fill out the info:

  • Page Identity

  • Name

  • Linkedin Custom URL (Try to keep the URL the same for brand recognition)

  • Website

You’ll also notice the Page Preview off to the side that updates as you enter your company info. I find that super helpful to see how everything will turn out before the page is even created.

Step 4: Fill out the Company Details

Company Details

  • Industry

  • Size

  • Type

Step 5: Fill out the Profile Details

Profile Details

  • Logo

  • Tagline

Bonus: Optimize Your Page

And that’s it to get started! After your page is created, you’ll want to add an Overview (basically your story or “About”). Link to it on your personal page & it can show on your profile.
